The Past Week

What a busy week! The parents came into town on Tuesday and will be here till tomorrow. So we have had lots of family gatherings. My sister and I got with the parents on Wednesday and went swimming at the pool with Aaron and Allison. Thursday Dan and I had a BBQ at our house and got both sides of the families together. That was a lot of fun. It is very rare that we all get together. The next day I had a lovely training for work, and then Dan and I had dinner with my mom and dad. Dan managed to go fishing on Saturday and Sunday. He was also very lucky to be invited to the Texans game on Saturday night by his friend Matt. He had a very busy weekend and now he is back at work tonight. Today I hosted a candle party and I was lucky enough to get all my purchases for FREE! Thanks everyone that came and bought something! I promise your houses will smell WONDERFUL! Well I am sad to say that my summer is coming to an end, and I will officially be working again next Monday. It has been a wonderful summer and I am going to miss my time off, but I am ready to get back in the classroom. Now that I know what I am doing I think this year will be a breeze! Dan is even more excited about me going back to work because he says I spend all of his money when I am off. I don't agree! Well I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Till next time....

We took Spec and Molly to the little pond by our house. This was Molly's first time in the water! She was a champ. She was scared at first, but once she saw Spec jump in she was right there with her. There are some pictures of the swimming adventure on our photo link.

Back in good ole San Benito....

We are back from our mini vacation to the beach. We all had a blast! Dan and I are off to visit Grandma, and then we will meet up with some of my friends later tonight. We are headed back home tomorrow. I am sure the dogs are missing us or maybe I just miss them! I have posted most of the pictures from the beach on our photo link. Enjoy!

No dinner tonight...

Well we woke up super early this morning to go fishing. No such luck! We even went to two different spots. Even though we did not catch anything we had a blast. We got back from our fishing adventure and went swimming in the pool and beach. Mom and Dad watched us from the balcony. We came back and took a much needed nap. Since we didn't catch any fish we ordered some take out. We are all having a great time. My Dad especially! He is loving it! Well we are headed back to the water. Pictures coming soon! Beach Time!

Yesterday we arrived in San Benito. This morning we had some errands to do, and then we headed to beautiful South Padre Island. Brings back memories from my childhood when we used to come here almost everyone summer for a week. My Mom and I decided today that we need to this every summer and get the whole family down here together. Get ready Kimberly! We are staying at the Sheraton in a HUGE condo. It’s very nice and it will definitely fit the whole family! Tonight we had dinner at Blackbeards. It was so good! We headed back to the condo and my Dad decided that he needed to buy some binoculars at the gift shop. This is so that Dan and him could watch the babes on the beach from the balcony. Dan was all for it! Mom and I went down to the pool and beach, while Dan and Dad stayed in to watch some t.v. and relax. Dan is so excited that some one else is here to go to the pool with me! He says I turn into a fish when I get near water. Dan, Mom, and I are getting up early in the morning to do some fishing. Hopefully we can catch our dinner!

Somewhere between Texas and Mexico......

Well Dan and I are headed to San Benito tomorrow. We are really excited! On Tuesday we are going to South Padre Island with the parents to stay for a couple of days! Hopefully Dan can find a good fishing spot while we are there. Hope everyone has a great week!
