We had a pretty relaxing weekend. On Friday we tried out a new family restaurant! We will definitely be going back. Awesome playground for the girls! Tonight I tried out two new recipes, fried rice and teriyaki chicken. They both turned out pretty good! Found them off of Pintrest. In fact all of the meals planned for the rest of the week are from it. I am loving Pinterest and all of the things I am finding it! Can wait to add some things to the house!!

Fun Day!

Today was pajama/take your teddy bear to school day. Kaylee and her classmates went on a fun bear hunt throughout the day! Oh to be young again! =)
After school we stopped by and got a yummy slush at sonic and then headed to one of our neighborhood parks. Such a great day with my two girls!!!!!

Highlight of the day....RAIN

I woke up to a popping noise this morning. I really thought our bathroom was on fire! I found Dan and Kaylee in the living room playing. Kenzie was still sleeping (imagine that!). I looked outside and it was a mess! Dark, windy, and HAIL!!!! No damage in the neighborhood, but there was a funnel cloud that formed less then a mile from us! Our electricity flickered a couple of times, and the yard flooded. We ended up getting about six inches of rain. It was really needed since we have been in a drought for awhile now!That was our highlight of the day! Thankfully Dan decided last night not to take Kaylee hunting. Hopefully they will be able to go this weekend, but if not she is going to have to wait until next hunting season. The season is coming to a close. Yahoo! I get my hubby back!!!! =) We have a pretty low key week. Glad about that since I will be throwing my friend Katie a bachelorette party this weekend! Tomorrow we find out if we are having another niece or nephew!!!! Super excited!!!

Hello 2012!

2011 in a nutshell.....Dan celebrated his 30th birthday in January. We traveled to St. Louis/ Quincy in February, and then to Kansas in March. My mom moved near us in April, and that has been awesome! In May we had Kenzie's dedication at church, and in July we celebrated Kaylee's THIRD birthday. We also traveled to Florida for a surprise birthday party for Dan's grandpa, and traveled down to the valley for my ten year reunion. Our baby girl turned ONE!!!! I can't believe how FAST that happened!!! We also welcomed home my cousin Stephen from Iraq!!!! Our close friends FINALLY welcomed babies!!! Yahoo, more friends for Kaylee and Kenzie! Dan had a great hunting season. His dad, uncle, and him took a special hunting trip at the end of December, which made their season the best yet!

We are so blessed! Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for our family! Wishing all of you a Happy 2012!!!!

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas spent with our families. On the 23rd we celebrated with Dan's Uncles family. Lots of food, fun, and kids! On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Dan's family. Lots of present opening! We had an awesome Lasagna lunch. The kids had a blast playing with their new toys. We ended the night with a beautiful Christmas Eve service at our church! Christmas morning Kaylee woke up at SIX, so we woke up Kenzie and did our Christmas morning walk down the hall to see what cool things Santa left. Kaylee was super excited and Kenzie was in need of some more sleep! We then opened up presents, and Dan began to put things together. I began cooking in the kitchen. It was my year to cook for the family! I was super excited! By the time I knew the doorbell began to ring and the house was full! I finished up the cooking and then it was time to eat. After some rest we began our annual nerf gun war! A new tradition that was started a couple of years ago. So much fun! We had a fun filled three days and were exhausted by Christmas night. I think Kenzie beat us on being the most tired. She slept 16 hours that night!!!!!
