Sit back and relax! This was a crazy month!
July 1st- Kaylee turns one! I didn't realize how fast the year went by!!! She grew like a weed! We had lunch at McDonald with Nana and the Hawkins' clan. The kids had happy meals. Kaylee loved it! Then Aunt Kimmy bought all the kids ice cream cones. Kaylee REALLY loved this! We then played with them at the play area. Kaylee really didn't know what to think of it. Trevor on the other hand was the happiest kid in the world! Thanks to having Trevor around and being older then Kaylee, she really watches his every move. She soon noticed that he was walking and she was not! Later on that day Dan woke up from sleeping(he was working nights, we were both in the living room Dan stood Kaylee up and she too three steps toward me!!! YEA!!!!! What a big girl and on her first birthday!!!! We then celebrated and got ready for her birthday dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings!
July 4th- Happy 4th!!! I loaded up our little family of three and we went to the neighborhood parade and hot dog party. Watch out Macy's you have something to worry about it! Well not really..hahaha.... This had to be the smallest parade we had ever been to!!! We had a fire truck followed by about 50 kids on their bikes. I know they were totally excited but we sitting in the hot and well we weren't to excited! We then went to the park area and had some lunch, put Kaylee in the Moon Jump, and showed her the fire truck. We then headed home napped and had Aunt Ashley and Uncle Matt over. Uncle Matt made some awesome ribs!!!! We then ended the night with fireworks!!!
July 5th-11th.....Florida here we come!!!! The big trip we had been talking about for months! Dan was excited about the fishing and I was excited about Aunt Ashley and Uncle Matt's wedding!!!! Dan's parents traveled with us to help out with Kaylee. They were sooooo much help! Thanks again!!!
While in Florida we saw dolphins, ate, went swimming, ate, visited the Theater of the Sea, ate, partied in Key West, ate, and we witnessed one of the most beautiful beach weddings ever!!!! I was so honored to stand beside Ashley as her Matron of Honor and have Kaylee as the flower girl. Dan took some amazing pictures (check them out on our family photo link)! Ashley and Matt our truly an amazing couple and I am so glad God placed them in our lives. I look forward to making many memories with them!!!
We hopefully will now be taking a yearly trip with them to Florida. It's a great place and is tons of fun!
July 17-19 Trip to college station for Dan's cousins wedding. We were able to see lots of family that we hadn't seen since our wedding. Kaylee met GreatGrandma Schwartz for the first time as well as tons of other family members! It was a great time! Meagan made a beautiful bride and I have to say that the food at the reception was the best I have ever had!
July 20- We traveled to San Antonio to meet up with the Schutte clan (Dan's family from up north). I ended up getting sick!!!! Not fun for me! I braved it and we all went to Sea World. WOW...talk about HOT!!!!! Never go to Sea World in the heat of summer!!!! We will be going in the fall from now on! We saw the Shamu show. Very inspirational, but I remember Shamu jumping a lot higher when I was little. Dan agreed! The dolphin show was amazing! Even though it was hot and I was still sick I lasted to 5:30! Go me! We then hopped back in the car and drove to Nana and Papa's house.
July 21-31.... We stayed at my parents house two night then we all headed down the the beach for the weekend. We got settled in the room and then headed to the pool. Kaylee loved the water! WE played there for about an hour then got ready for dinner. We went to our family favorite restaurant Blackbeards. It was so good to finally eat seafood again! The next morning we went to the beach and then played some more at the pool. It was near lunch time so we went back to the room, ate some lunch, and then put Kaylee down for a nap. I didn't realize that she was going to sleep for FOUR HOURS!!! She was well rested and ready for some more beach time! While we were at the beach Dan headed out fishing with his buddy that has the boat. That night we had dinner and then watched the fireworks over the bay. Great fireworks! Thanks Nana and Papa for such a wonderful time at the beach!!!!!
Dan had to head home after the beach because he had to work. Kaylee and I ended staying the rest of the week. I was able to finally meet Diane and Julio's baby boy!!!! I had to wait a whole month!!!!! He is a precious baby! I had so much fun huggin on him! We spent some much needed time with Great Grandma Wood while we were there. She was so happy to see Kaylee!!! We had a great week in the Valley.
July 31-August 2nd.....Dan picked us up from the airport and we headed to Galveston with the Schwartz side for the weekend. We went to dinner at Rain Forest Cafe. It was so great food and the scenery was awesome. Kaylee loved when the animals started making all of their noise. The next day we went to Schlitterbahn. It was so funny to Kaylee wave at everyone on the lazy river. She was a trooper and loved going down the slide. The last day we went down to the beach and then on our way home we stopped for lunch. Thank you again Grana and Pops for a wonderful weekend in Galveston!
That's it for July!
